ABC News is reporting that Britney Spears will be meeting with a parenting coach as a result of her substance-abuse and general behavior.

The court ordered Spears “to meet with a parenting coach for a
minimum of eight hours each week, in at least two sessions per week.”

This is great news, and its not just because Better Parenting University provides online seminars to deal with some of the same issues Britney Spears is experiencing, but great news because she has been ordered to get the help she - and most importantly - her kids need.  Will seeing a parenting coach cure her substance abuse problems? Time will tell. But the purpose of a parenting coach is to being a sounding board and to teach parenting skills. Clearly, the judge is questioning these very skills. I won’t pass judgment on Britney’s parenting skills, I will say however, that everybody can be a better parent. Some just need more help than others - and if she is committed to getting the help she needs (even at the direction of a judge), so be it.
