It seems there is a new buzzword to describe a parenting phenomeon. According to Trend Hunter Magazine:
Simply put, a tweenebe is a parent or adult who is inspired to live the carefree life of a tween. Tweenebe’s are popping up everywhere! They’re the parents who want to see High School Musical on ice, the ones who actually want to see Hannah Montana live. These parents actually ENJOY the same things as their tweens, and love that they have access to so much yet have no responsibility. For reference, please see middle-aged dad jamming out to favorite rock band in the garage. Total tweenebe.
I am not sure if this buzzword will catch on, but I do agree it has some validity. We explore: Can Parents and Teens Be Friends? Exploring The Consequences of Befriending Your Children in our online parenting seminar. If you think you or your spouse has become a Tweenebe, be sure to consider this online seminar.
